Application Process
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements of the position are encouraged to complete an online application.

Applications can also be downloaded and either faxed to W&I Human Resources at 401-453-7683, or mailed to W&I Human Resources at 101 Dudley Street, Providence, RI 02905.

Applications may also be completed at the W&I Human Resources office, located at 300 Richmond Street, Suite 205, Providence RI 02905. The hours of operation for W&I Human Resources are 8 am - 4:30 pm. Directions

General Process: Applications submitted to Human Resources will be reviewed for qualifications. If the minimum requirements of the job are met, the application will be forwarded to the interviewing department for consideration. If interested in the candidate, they will be contacted directly. If not interested in the candidate at this time, the application will remain on file.

Interview Process: Candidates who are contacted for a departmental interview should have an online application completed prior to interview. Upon completion of the departmental interview, candidates should proceed to Human Resources.
 

References and Background Checks
Women & Infants requires at least two prior work references and a criminal background check be completed prior to a job offer. Applicants are required to provide their supervisor names and correct phone numbers of their last two places of employment on the application. Applicants are also required to complete a criminal background check disclaimer form. An original signature on the form and copy of the applicant’s drivers license is required for processing.

Final Selection and Offer
After the final applicant’s reference and background checks are complete and the results are determined, the Supervisor will make the final decision. The Supervisor or Human Resources will contact the applicant to extend the official offer. The applicant will be instructed to contact HR to set up their new hire pre employment appointment which includes completing forms in Human Resources, a Pre Employment Health Screening and Security for an ID Badge. This appointment must take place prior to start date.

Employee’s of Women & Infants are eligible for a wide variety of benefits, including health insurance, savings options and wellness programs. Eligibility depends on the number of scheduled hours worked and status: union/non union or management/non-management.

New Hire Pre-Employment Information
The following documentation is required to bring to the New Hire Pre-Employment Screening.

Human Resources:
Professional license or Certificate if required for the position
Documentation supporting authorization to work in the United States, examples include:
- U.S. Passport & Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
- Valid Driver’s License & Social Security Card
- Authorized Photo ID & Social Security Card
- Resident Alien Card & Social Security Card
- Employment Authorization Documentation (foreign passport with a valid Form I-94)

Health/Dental Insurance (if eligible)
Family plan:
 - Marriage certificate required to place spouse on coverage
 - Birth certificates required to place children on coverage 
 - If opting out of insurance, a photocopy of the current insurance card is required as proof.

Employee Health:
- Copy of immunization records
- TB test results if within the last 6 months

Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

The Program in Women’s Oncology serves as a resource to physicians and patients for the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical oncology, gynecological oncology and surgical oncology (eg, colon, pancreatic, and others) occurring in women.

The Pharmacist designs and implements pharmacotherapy to ensure effective, safe and economical care to our patients.  The Pharmacist serves as a member of the health care team, and provides education and support to patients and staff.
